Ladyface Ale Companie Honored at California Small Business Day
On Monday, June 16th, Ladyface Ale Companie was honored by Senator Fran Pavley at the California Small Business Day™ 2014 as small business of the year in the 27th District. California Small Business Day recognizes small businesses each year for their contribution to the state’s economy. Small business contributes to 75% of California’s gross state product and over half of the state’s private sector jobs.
“California’s small businesses are the economic engine of our state,” said Betty Jo Toccoli, President of the California Small Business Association. “Ladyface Ale Companie was celebrated for their successful small business and contributions to their community.”
Owners Cyrena & Jean-Luc Nouzille were on hand to accept the award. Cyrena noted that, "It is such an honor to be recognized in the community by Senator Pavley who has such a long history of making our city a great place to live, work and play. In the art nouveau interior, Cicerone-certified beer servers offer friendly advice for choosing from the California-influenced brasserie menu." ... -
10 Great Places to Get Craft Beer North of L.A.
By Sean Inman of Food GPS
A lot of the brewery names on this list will be familiar to beer folks but many may have not made the drive to the actual locale where the beer is brewed. You may have sipped the Belgian influenced ales from Ladyface in Echo Park and had Kinetic beers in the South Bay, but not made the trip to Agoura Hills or Lancaster. But it would be worth your while to point the car north of the City of Los Angeles and visit a few taprooms and a couple other fun craft beer spots. After each summary, I will give you a beer choice that you might not see in L.A. proper, but should be part of your taster tray.
